Air One is a helicopter in Volusia county. I was able to fly on it while I was working in law enforcement for a courtesy flight. Since my time, the software, cameras, and target identification has changed dramatically.

During the time that I fly private planes, I not been hit with a laser, however, a friend who is a sheriff office pilot has and it is he describes it as the brightest thing you’ve ever seen. The laser beam expands to about 3 feet at that altitude that helicopters are usually at and it is blinding at night.

  1. They've yet begun to deploy the drones with their damnable sensors and weapons.
5-G and Data-Fusion will be taking "you can run but you can't hide" to where no
"you can run but you can't hide" has gone before..

  2. I think that BECAUSE this technology is beneficial for catching them bad guys, we should get it at a rate. Military applications, I'm sure – and we didn't get a rate for that software and fancy cameras either… it seems there's this common mentality that such expenditures will be painlessly absorbed in the public dime – they AREN'T. If we MUST buy those awesome toys for catching bad guys – it should be offered much more discounted, simply because the "benefit" AND cost is to the public… especially those that utilize tax dollars in their administration of public duty should be thinking "let's get it discount," rather than "s'all good – the public is paying for it, he, he!"

  3. Chris, I give you a lot of grief for putting out Ticketek nonsense and harassment of the police. This time, I wish to praise you for doing something very worthwhile and positive.

  4. I say in about 2 years they will use attack helicopters armed with live ammunition. And the ppl will cheer for it. Fucking sheepeople

  5. The legislature when writing this law did not take into account the LIDAR speed measuring devices commonly used by law enforcement and also less commonly found on semi-autonomous vehicles for speed and collision detection. There's no exemption in the current law and although the laser beams used are outside the range of human vision, they are still lasers. I have to wonder if someone shined a LIDAR at the helicopter (which wouldn't blind them but might be detected) would a successful prosecution result in caselaw making police operators of LIDAR felons?

  6. Helicopters are stupid expensive to operate. Please try to find out the initial cost, average operating cost per hour, how many pilots employed, their salaries, etc, etc.
You can have the finest tools and equipment when the public is footing the bill. Sad.

  7. Bell 407 $1,110.00 per hour to fly .That doesn't include a Sheriff Pilot or CoPilot. National Average
PAY AS A Sheriff PILOT $58,317/year up to $119,000.

  8. This is the STUFF that makes Mr.Madison a great auditor .Being a former LEO Mr.Madison knows the know and talks the talk and walks the walk. Mr. Madison will you tell the FOLKS that admire your audits exactly why you left LEO.I'm sure they would enjoy your story. It's been awhile little buddy.

  9. In other words, don't fuck with them. They're only doing their jobs and they help with medical interventions. Even the channel owner is an ex-cop that did his job. 😎👍

  10. Wonder how much illegal contraband was being flushed? Perfect plan, just get back home, take the charge for fleeing, flush the the evidence.

  11. Can u make a video on the shot spotter? Someone i mite or mite not know shot a gun and a helicopter went up in the air about 10 seconds later and pin pointed to the exact location of where the shot came from and the police were there in less than 5 minutes… Unreal!
