No one group or person has the ability to effect change across the board, however we are committed to doing our part by continuing to stand up for our constitutional right to free press and the right to take photographs and video in public. All donations will be used exclusively to further this cause. Specifically, we need to upgrade our computer, video editing software and purchase additional video gear. just after Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860. He built the first post office in the village behind the back door of his house. It had sixty boxes which greatly exceeded the demand at that time. Throughout the Civil War, the men of the village congregated in this place, to hear the news of those serving in the war and to discuss the events of the day." – from the Beecher-Hand House pamphlet
Just as I thought, shown by history, the post office is a natural place for townspeople to gather and share news and discuss current events. Why it is not included as a "traditional public forum," I have no idea. To this day, it is still the prime spot to bump into your friends and neighbors, especially in small towns, and keep up with town events.
