#TeamMike and #TeamDaniels is officially on! We were in Houston on 6/22 with Aaron from Relentless Defender and Jason from Millecor to kick off our charity fitness competition.

We used the Cooper Standards (vertical jump, situps, 300 meter sprint, push-ups, and 1.5 mile run) as our baseline. We also did a weigh in.

At the end, Humanizing the Badge will be getting a donation from RDA and Millecor and the loser of the competition gets pepper sprayed. We aren’t competing against each other but who will improve the most.

We hope to encourage all of YOU to stay relentless in the pursuit of being fit for the job and for life. JOIN US on our band group to stay encouraged:

  1. Good work guys! I believe jiu-jitsu and running endurance are the two most important physical requirements for officers. That combined with an well trained and maintained mind and you're good to go.

  2. I was just watching videos on YouTube and then I found a video that talked about a woman that had an intruder in her house. Is there anything you could tell me about what to do at a time where someone breaks in and what to use to defend myself so that when I am alone at my house I know what to do?

  3. So mike I was thinking you could do a show about this topic. What would you say to a fellow officer who told you that he/she thought we as police should not be enforcing minor laws? Laws such as spitting on the sidewalk, Jaywalking, a license plate light not working, speeding under 10 MPH, etc. Maybe cover the pitfalls of such thinking and the pros. I know from experience that Police don't normally go out of their way to enforce such laws. However, since it is in fact a violation of the law they might chose to use such a minor law to get to a more heinous crime.

  4. Mike did good; Aaron was freakin' HEROIC! When you go in outgunned and outmatched and you REFUSE to give up but keep trying with everything in you> That is awesome. Great show for both gentlemen, inspiring all around. Thanks, and keep up the great work.

  5. I know this isn’t on topic, but I think a really good collaboration would be with Big Herc from Fresh Out- Life After the Penitentiary. Your political views are different, but he’s a stand up guy and I honestly think it would be very interesting.

  6. @officerdaniels @mikethecop i admire the determination and desire for change. It's great to see your willing to put yourself out there as an example to everyone. It takes balls. Fuck ya guys

  7. I must argue…Utah has the worst drivers. Also, I am questioning whether the police in my town can pass this test. They are great people, but lacking in the physical training, for sure. Is this required?

  8. There are some cops that you can run away from an there're some cops that you can't. It's pretty obvious who's Who in this scenario

  9. Really enjoyed this. From initial, you're not in terrible shape Mike. Hope to see more of these videos.

  10. What was OD’s 1.5mi time? I like that y’all are looking for most improved because it’s important NOT to always compare yourself to others.

  11. good job, Daniels. you put in great effort and you obviously improved. Mike you also did good, you performed greater than Daniels. But both can improve.
