2. These are cameras, not guns, bats, knives, or other weapon. The police assume EVERYONE is out to hurt them. That defies all logic if you see they are filming them. Especially today when 80% of the people have smartphones with cameras built in.

Ultimately, the court held that if the facts were viewed in Chestnut’s favor, Wallace violated Chestnut’s clearly established constitutional right to watch police-citizen interactions at a distance (20 to 30 feet) without interfering. In support of its holding, the Eighth Circuit wrote that every circuit court to have considered the question has held that a person has the right to observe police activity in public. The court clarified that it does not hold that Wallace was prohibited from investigating Graham’s reported concerns, only that it was clearly established that Wallace could not detain Chestnut without more indication of wrongdoing.

4. "Our cameras are going." THAT DON'T MEAN SHIT. You or your department control what, if anything, the public gets to see. That is hardly an impartial and independent source of information about police actions.
