LAPD Cops Violate Rights of Photographer – Complaint Filed

4. That cop is dead wrong!!! What he is saying is, in legal terms, arbitrary and capricious. Capricious means to be subject to whim; impulsive and unpredictable. Arbitrary means based on random choice or personal whim, rather than any reason or system. If they need to protect his personal info, they must provide that protection by bringing him to a secure location, ie. In their car.

21. No. Just because the arestee doesn’t want to be filmed doesn’t mean the cops can restrict the right of the photographer. If a murder suspect doesn’t want to do the perp walk will the cops stop the TV cameras ?? No and it’s the exact same thing.
