crime scene tape exists
Retards: so is this a crime scene??
it's literally the equivalent to
police car blocking road
Retards: is this road closed ??
What brands of cameras do you use and model numbers? Also, what type if hand held police scanner make and model number? Good job! More video’s.
Fake news
not trying to sound rude but isn't it common sense that its by default considered a crime scene when a death occurs because they don't know what happened yet..and the press doesn't get any VIP treatment as in you can't pass the yellow tape during an active crime scene regardless if you're the general public or the media..
Too bad you cannot use a drone! Asshole cops!
GOOD JOB CATMAN REAL INFORMATIVE INFORMATION FOR THE COMMON CITOZENS.THAT WOULD NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO IN A SIMILAR SITUATION 💪ðŸ‘ðŸ½âœŒâœŠðŸ˜
Here you go this is a run down of the chopper http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNum_Results.aspx?NNumbertxt=N952JH
In 2006 they cost $15.5 million

Onus News Service, where/how can I apply for a Press privilege just like you do? Thank you.
Great film quality
I admire how you handled that, very business like.
delet
My first thoughts were lots of tax dollars doing nothing, then that helicopter appeared. Wow what excess! See what a well funded police state looks like.
Do you live here?😂😂😂😂So if BBC Came to cover a story would they ask that. Damn fools!
Good stuff! ðŸ‘ðŸ»
those two male cops at the end were incredibly nice and professional, a perfect example of how police should be. they were so helpful and respectful. i like when i see good examples of police too, it gives me hope.
Was this the scene with the family that drove over the cliff?
Relative to the YELLOW TAPE, where is the closest piece of evidence or debris?
Is the YELLOW TAPE set for public safety? CA PC 409.5d protects "duly authorized representatives of any news service".
great work, thank you.
What a stupid old Fuck at the station doesn't have a clue what to do.
Good follow up!!!
Great video great job as usual "TOP CAT" at least you get to the bottom of the matter. It is just a shame being press they just cant tell you the truth in the first place.
Amazing helo shots. Here is the registry info on N952JH:

Dude that's a nice place to live. Damn.
Can you foia the pics from fire department
"It's a crime scene and we must protect the evidence." "Everything is a crime scene around and up to the street at Mr. Simpson home." How did that work out?
I hope that old man is not getting paid tax dollars cuz he is a biggest waste of space just like all these other cops but that dude Takes the Cake biggest waste of space 2018
Awesome shiny new helicopter. How much does something like that cost; ten million?
Good follow up Kat….. Always get the full story with Katman
Crime scene is defined by evidence and debris – not an area that they want to prevent media from taking pictures of a body.
Excellent.
All scenes attended by police can be designated crime scenes, police attend incidents to investigate and gather evidence. Some police are obviously on a power trip and like to control people unnecessarily.
Its easier to say no than to allow you into the scene and then have to chaperone you and “worry about your safety†lol.
That old guy at the counter didn’t know what planet he was on.
Awesome video brother ðŸ‘
Katman is asking the most clear questions imaginable. Yet, the deputy is challenged to participate in the conversation. For example, in response to the question about a PIO, the deputy could have said something like, "No, we don't have PIOs, Watch Commanders serve that function." Instead, he obscures the topic by replying vaguely.
So if I have a heart attack in my yard, it’s a crime scene ????
Nice job and great follow up.
Great reporting as always. Just a thought. Next time just walk over the tape and take authority with your first amendment right as the press. They will always power trip as if they are of the higher ones when they are just public servants.
Well done
I've been told for an area to be rope off from the media it has to contain evidence is the only time the media can be kept out. all of the law enforcement and firefighters seem to have no concern in protecting evidence. allso it didn't appear that anyone was keeping a log of who enter the rope off area (crime scene)
I hope Mr. Forman is not the foreman.
Damn Katman, that would've been a great shot of the helicopter if not for the damn rail!
When did this happen?
I love how you never give up & always get to to bottom of it no matter what
Always more people getting paid standing around than actually doing something.
The LA County Sheriff's wouldn't let me move 5 feet closer to the railing because they claimed the area was a "crime scene".  However, there was no crime and this wasn't a crime scene.  Under California law members of the press are entitled to access scenes like this. Unfortunately the police have a practice of declaring areas "crime scenes" in order to keep out members of the press. After the incident is over and there is nothing for the press to see the police will conclude it wasn't a crime and it wasn't a crime scene.
