A caller called in to the Adams County Sheriff’s office Thursday night to say he had hit a deer and put the so-called dead deer in his car. The caller says once he arrived home, he found the deer was alive and moving. An Adams County deputy met the man at his vehicle. The man opened his back hatch and pulled the deer out. That is when the deer took off running into the woods.

  1. I can attest to this. While mule deer are some of the dumbest creatures on the planet, whitetail are tough as nails. Drove for UPS many years ago and a doe jumped out in front of me in the evening on my route. I thought I killed her. Nope. She rolls like some kung fu master, jumps up, shakes off, lifts her tail and bounds into the hayfield next to the road. I was blown away. Haven't hit an elk or a moose, but that was the only time I witnessed a deer get nailed and act like nuffin' happened! Crazy!

  2. Having thought it had just evaded both death and a ticket, the deer was just starting to smile to itself when it discovered the cliff just off to the right there…..

  3. imagine if that guy had driven off thinking that deer was dead, what would have happened when the deer woke up inside the vehicle as he was driving down the road lol

  4. This happens a lot more than you would think. One call I will never forget, involved two guys picking up what they assumed to be a dead deer, and placing it Inside their car. When I say inside, I don't mean in the back of a truck, no, these people actually put it in the backseat of their car. Only to have the deer come thrashing back to life, the driver was able to pull over, and exit the car, along with his passenger. They both sustained minor injuries, and unfortunately the deer, had to be put down, but not before destroying the entire inside of the vehicle.

  5. Is there something reflecting from the inside of the police vehicle or what are those sinister looking lights in the background?
