On February 12, 2023, at approximately 4:45pm 24th district officers responded to 2700 block of Tulip Street in reference to a vandalism report. On arrival officers spoke with an employee for Xfinity who stated they received reports of Cable service outages in the area affecting multiple customers. It was determined that 5 major fiber-optic data lines were cut and affected approximately 17,000 customers in the surrounding area. Estimated damage to the equipment is $10,000.
