MISSING SINCE 1975: The Search for Dorothy Goroshko (Day 2)

In 1975, the vibrant city of Boston was rocked by the sudden disappearance of Dorothy Goroshko. Last seen at the Penalty Box, a popular local bar, Dorothy’s night out turned into a decades-long mystery. Driving her distinctive yellow 1970 Ford Maverick with a black top, license plate 9K7755,

Day 1 Findings: An underwater vehicle from the correct time period was discovered near the police headquarters Marine unit. Despite initial hopes, it was determined not to be Dorothy’s car due to a mismatch in tire size.

Day 2 Efforts: The team continued their search in Jamaica Pond, driven by community rumors and the geographical challenge posed by the pond’s kettle glacial structure, which features shallow edges and a deeper center. Several targets were located and our team dove on.

The 1970 Ford Maverick Dorothy was driving, is known for its history of mechanical issues, including brake problems, we’re faced with the possibility that an accident could have led to Dorothy’s disappearance.

🚀 Technology Meets Tenacity: The Tools of Our Quest

Armed with cutting-edge sonar technology, we navigate the murky waters, our eyes glued to the screens, searching for any sign of Dorothy’s yellow 1970 Ford Maverick. The sonar readings, a blend of science and intuition, guide us as we interpret the echoes returning from the depths below. Each blip, each anomaly on the screen, could be the clue that leads us to Dorothy. Our approach is methodical, our equipment sophisticated, but it’s the heart behind the search that drives us forward.

The mysterious disappearance of Dorothy raises several questions that could point to foul play. Firstly, the context of her last known location, the Penalty Box bar, a bustling spot in Boston, suggests she may have encountered someone with malicious intent. The era, coupled with the late hours of the night, adds a layer of vulnerability to her situation. Secondly, the sudden and complete vanishing of Dorothy, without any trace or message to her family, hints at an orchestrated disappearance rather than an accidental one. Lastly, considering the challenges and limitations of law enforcement investigations during that time, the possibility that foul play was involved but went undetected or unsolved is plausible. These factors combined create a haunting possibility that Dorothy’s disappearance was not merely an accident but potentially a calculated act of murder.

  1. I've lived in Chicago, Tucson, Phoenix, Bakersfield and 9-10 miles is around the corner. I had one, 1967 4 door Chevy Impala Convertible had a grill that had funny wrap on the turn signal lights? The 67 also had those bubble type hub caps too.

  2. Guys, great stuff you are doing πŸ™. Just started watching and see you explain side image at the beginning of each video. May be just you keeping it simple for simple sake, but remember to subtract the water column from your side scan. You may be intending to scan 75’ both directions (150’ wide path) but in 25’ water your scan path is only 100’ wide. 10’ deep, 130’ wide path, so on. You may miss something if you’re thinking you are scanning 25’ further to the left and right. Keep your the amazing efforts! Ever need some help in So Cal, reach out I’d be happy to help you scan some locations.

  7. Jared just a thought. If you put a zip lock freezer bag over the magnet , but inside out so when you bring it up turn the bag out side and zip lock it, this way you have all the metal preserved. Freezer bags could be better . Thanks for what you all do. πŸ€”
