In a quest for answers Down Under, Bill McIntosh and Downunder Dan are leading an extensive underwater search for 28-year-old Trent McKechnie, who has been missing from New South Wales since March 2020. The team’s Australian mission is part of a larger global movement conducted by Adventures With Purpose (AWP), dedicated to finding missing loved ones believed to be lost underwater in their vehicles.

Trent, who is of Caucasian appearance, 175cm tall, and has a thin build, brown hair, and brown eyes, disappeared under mysterious circumstances. He was last seen departing his home on Farrell Road, Bass Hill around 4:30 am, driving his white dual cab 2000 Toyota Hilux ute, registration number YEA-548, equipped with a rear canopy and roof racks.

Embodying the spirit of AWP’s mission, Bill, Downunder Dan (https://www.youtube.com/@downunderdandiving3357), and expert diver Michael Oliver (https://www.youtube.com/@MichaelOliverLJRare) are committed to finding Trent and providing answers for his family. Employing cutting-edge sonar technology and diving equipment, they are meticulously exploring local waterways, ranging from the waters surrounding Farrell Road and the King’s Academy Martial Arts studio, Trent’s last known location.

Throughout their exhaustive journey, they encounter numerous submerged vehicles. Yet, the Hilux Trent was driving remains elusive. Despite the challenges, the team remains steadfast, continually investigating potential vehicle hiding spots, such as boat ramps, docks, and even underwater corners.

As they push forward with their search, they invite the public to join them in this mission. Any piece of information, however insignificant it may seem, could provide the crucial lead they need to locate Trent. For any leads or information, please contact the Bankstown Police Station or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Join Bill, Downunder Dan, and their passionate team as they exemplify the unyielding determination of the human spirit. Through their work, they highlight the immense power of global collaboration in bringing answers to families of missing loved ones. The search continues, each cleared location bringing us one step closer to finding Trent McKechnie.

  1. This is what heroes are. Not the ones with a cape or a mask but these men and women, who bring closure, who find the missing, who give you answers you've been seeking for so long. Just your average person who might be your neighbor, your family member, your coworker or a stranger.

  2. Lake Gillarwarna ? Im thinking he got something to eat and stopped off on the way home perhaps .There are a few deep lakes around Alternative eating places. Very hard to Guess ! Needle in a haystack . Keep going boys !

  3. I'm so glad it's you heading the Australian chapter of AWP, Dan. It takes a special person to do what you do and you do it quite well. You're a hero and an underwater angel. 🦸😇 Keep up the great work! 👍❤️

  4. I would love to do this kind of thing! I met Trent multiple times and it still blows my mind knowing he's missing! I hope no matter the outcome he can be located.

  5. I have been watching for a little while now and really love what you do to help out the families I was wondering if you ever found Brandon and what was in the glove box looked for part 3 but never found it only parts 1&2 TY

  6. They could be dumping things or it could floods 🤷🏻‍♀️ just say eastern Australia has had so many floods in the last few years.

  7. I think we need a gps software that documents every single anomaly in the rivers and lakes across the world. Each time an anomaly is detected where its not a natural known phenomenon it will be logged and later sent to the authorities who will investigate if they are not on a case. This way the dive teams whether they be local police or government can get experience even when not doing cases by simply using their free time to identify these anomalies. Fisherman and boats will also have this data sent to their gps systems to inform them if they are about to travel over something. As for how all this anomaly data will be collected, it will be collected by a combination of civilian, coast guard, and navy boats which will attempt to log everything their sonar detects and mark down its position for investigation. Sounds like a wishful thinking pipe dream but it certainly would be handy for solving these cases without people having to guess what has been already documented from what is brand new.

  8. Its incredibly special what these people do.

Yet here i am still losing my phone and car keys (in my own house) and not finding them for days. And these people solving cold cases in water so murky you cant even see your own feet. Hats off to you all.

  9. I came across your channel not long ago, you are doing a very noble thing, in my humble opinion there is no better channel than yours, greetings from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

  10. I believe you Jared. I won't go into details but I've heard the BS and I believe it's all eyes because they wait until you're wealthy and then they want to lie about you and it makes me f**** sick

  11. Have you guys ever been able to access people's Google maps Timelines? It's able to give almost turn by turn locations. It's can go awhile back. Just a thought unless someone's already mentioned that before.

  12. Hello AWP, my name is Ryan and I figured I’d do a quick reach out. Last night 6/11, and teen drowned and went missing in a lake in southern nj. He was not in a car, just swimming, search crews have been out for 12+ hours and found nothing with numerous boats but unsure if they have any radar equipment.I’m sure if you will search for just a body alone but I’d figure I would reach out. Thank you

  13. That part of the Georges River has had significant flooding in the last 2 year with a lot of debris, so vehicle's may of moved or have debris up against it.
Be safe out there, especially with your own boat.
The georges river is known to have cars dumped also in the area. The council had a heap of cars removed years ago in the Chipping Norton and Lansvale area.

  14. Amazing efforts from Dan who still today is on the search for Trent❤ A big thanks to Bill who travelled all the way from America 🇺🇸 to Australia 🇦🇺 his knowledge on finding missing persons is INCREDIBLE, he really gets into the life of that person and the life circle the person lived in. This is a mathematical grid search that has been the centre of his success in solving missing persons cases over many years. Both Dan And Bill do so much behind the scenes of YouTube, long days spent scanning miles and miles of river beds. Dan continues to focus all his spare time, energy and every cent he has on new equipment. Bill it was a great pleasure to meet you mate, hope we catch up again soon👍👍 Dan let me know how that last search went up in QLD? I’ll be back on the river diving with you soon, we still have over 50 cars we need to dive. PS I brought a new LIVE VIEW camera, now we’ll attach the magnets 🧲 and send the LIVE VIEW camera down. As much as I love diving these murky sharky waters, we will be able to get more cars identified faster in the future using this LIVE VIEW. Trent and many others are still out there and together we will bring them home❤

  15. Do you guys currently or have plans in the future to teach law enforcement how you work? Your methods work, and it's not like they're USUALLY massively complicated in nature. It's a proven, repeatable method that law enforcement seems to fall short of time and time again. If they started putting your methods to work across the country, imagine how much pain and suffering could be helped and put to rest on such a large scale.
