via andy Rose – A Columbia, South Carolina, police officer was fired Monday evening after he was seen on video using the n-word during a heated exchange with customers outside a bar.
Sgt. Chad Walker was ordering customers to leave the bar in the Five Points neighborhood shortly after 11:00 p.m. Saturday, enforcing mandatory bar closing times in place because of the coronavirus, according to a statement issued by the Columbia Police Department.

The officer is actually right and shouldn't have been disciplined for saying that the black man called him the racial slur and using that racial slur while describing what happened. Using a simple analogy, this is like in elementary school, me calling you an idiot, then you going up to the teacher to complain that I just called you an idiot. Then the teacher punishing you, because while making the complaint, you said the word idiot.
With all that being said however, he should still be fired because he doesn't have the temperament to be a police officer. He has absolutely no deescalation skills whatsoever. But he shouldn't be fired for what he got fired for
