We believe that many of our rights and civil liberties as American citizens on American soil are at great risk and that a simple act of civil disobedience has the power to effect great change. While we have no interest or intention in breaking any law, we are willing to stand up for freedom and the constitution at any time and at any place and do so in a responsible and productive manner. It is our goal to create free and open discussion whenever possible in an effort to educate both ourselves and anyone with a desire to learn. A well known rule of government is that ignorance is no excuse for the law. It is our stand that we as Americans have been either uninformed or misinformed regarding our laws and rights for far too long. We are not attorneys or scholars, however we have been involved in professional photography for over 30 years and have had our rights and freedoms challenged more times than we can remember. No one group or person has the ability to effect change across the board, however we are committed to doing our part by continuing to stand up for our constitutional right to free press and the right to take photographs and video in public. All donations will be used exclusively to further this cause. Specifically, we  need to upgrade our computer, video editing software and purchase additional video gear. We want to thank you in advance for your support of what we do and want you to know that we are committed to working harder than ever to defend our rights, your rights and the Freedom to Film in Public!!

  1. I don't feel like typing this all again, so i will copy and paste what I told someone else. You claim to have a right to film whatever you want other than secured areas in a government building. This is false. You have a right to film in the lobby and outside but entering beyond where the police tell you that you can't film, your right stops there. I a veteran police officer, and master patrol Sergeant with 2 masters degrees and a formal education in constitutional law. So allow me me to educate YOU, not you educating the officer because it would be false education. Under federal court rule 53, a presiding judge over the courthouse has the right to decide whether or not cameras are allowed in a nonpublic fora which is what a court house is. Outside is considered traditional public fora so feel free to film the outside and whatever is in plain view, same with a police station. Reference Federal court rule 53 which gives the judge that authority (So law vs. policy does not work here, nor does free speech apply) and Smith Vs. The City of Cumming (2000) in the United States Court of Appeals. This applies to all government or federal buildings including the United States Post Office. If the police or security in a court house says no, then you must comply with the lawful order you are obligated to comply then sort it out in court in front of a judge in a civil suit, don't continue to antagonize them and try to "educate" them. It is lawful for them to arrest you after the first warning, but we tend to try and reason with people but it does not work for lack of a formal education in law and misapplication of your rights. I realize this makes great content for your audience and it is also quite fashionable now to do this, but you may find yourself arrested and it's not worth the fines and cost of an attorney let alone giving yourself a criminal record. The severity of punishment for this misdemeanor (Failure to follow a lawful order) is not worth some YouTube views, especially since there is just over 900 views on this video. You routinely find yourself free to go by the end of the video which is a break you get because they are acting within the boundaries of the law. If you came into my police station I would not argue with you, or try and reason with you, I would (and have) stood there and gave my lawful order twice, if you don't leave the building you are under arrest. I am normally pretty lenient with things, but not this. It happens constantly for the sake of viewers, and you cherry pick lines from either the constitution or some case law, but take it to court and you will lose every time. – Master Ptl Sergeant Tom

  2. I've been watching mostly all your videos. You are the most civilized auditor on youtube. Thumbs up to you and your boy the WATCHMAN 👍👍👍👍

  3. Sorry dude, the basis of the signs is NY Civil Rights law section 52. "Televising, broadcasting or taking motion pictures of certain

    proceedings prohibited."

  4. Where I live in Ma there several courts that have signs just like those. Others that say no phones aloud. What if you want ro video with your phone?

  5. Howdy do big guy.. Been with you from the start… Shared your material world wide… And always got your back.. But what's your thoughts on HDCW… He has to have an impact on your career… You use a load of his phrases… I just need some clarity and an outside opinion… It's extremely frustrating and disrespectful when he/them… People don't respond… Why follow Somone if they don't value any input you bring forward 😔

  6. I see damage to the walkway from cars parking on it, it's a walkway not a parking space. Now it will have to be repaired sooner then it should and WHO's PAYING FOR IT, Tax payers.

  7. it's bullshiet….they have camera in that building…so it's okay for them to record but not you??? it 's simple…if No recording is allowed in Public..you can sue the living shiet
out of any gas station or bussiness with Cameras. that might had recorded you without
your premission…all day long just for walking on a sidewalk…
They didnt do for your rights… …it's always to protect themselves and about the money….

  8. The man in cuffs escorted by the cop really looked like a hardened criminal. He probably
opened his garage/yard sale an hour too soon. Or maybe had a burned out light in his license
    plate light.
