Is the Phaistos Disc a clever fake? The film follows the trail of possibly one of the greatest archaeological scandals ever. The search for the truth starts in the ancient Cretan palace complexes of Phaistos. In 1908, the “Phaistos Disc†was discovered by the Italian archaeologist Luigi Pernier. Since then, the disc has aroused scientific debates. Among other experts, art historian Jerome Eisenberg is convinced that the disc is a fake.

Sooo many ads. Let's see how long I will bother…
Why so many ads ?
4100BC egypt was matriarchy. So widespread.
45 Symbols of Phaistos Disc
1. ð‡¯ =sa (ducks, geese): Sa- in regional use in Ancient Egyptian, and Hittite (Hat-tu-sa).
This one had some ads, I'll say.
You just copy other people's work??? Is that what your channel is about?
I am seeing an ad every three minutes. I understand the need for ads but if you are watching a documentary and an expert within the show can not even finish expressing a thought between ads, it is too hard to focus on what is being expressed.
The Minoans worshiped the moon! Structuring the text of the Phaistos disÑ shows that it was copied by the disÑ manufacturer, or with inscriptions made in the form of three bilateral axes, or with inscriptions on the very similar axes (labrys) from palace or cave sanctuaries. The text is a list of the dedications of the main rulers of Crete to the moon god. One of these axes, the largest, four-blade, could also be used as a kind of lunar calendar. The disÑ itself, the moon on the full moon, is a kind of portable version of these initiations. These initiations were made in order to receive the blessing of the god of the moon. It is possible that the number of dedications of each ruler depended on the number of buildings he had (palaces and villas). Hence, and one more destination of the Phaistos disÑ is a charm in the form of a snake coil (the inscriptions on the disÑ after all in a spiral) for these buildings and all living in them, tk. The Minoans believed that the serpent in the house brings God's blessing. The Phaistos disÑ was made before the largest earthquake in 1700 BC. Who destroyed the early palace. Since the disÑ, as a guard, did not take this palace from destruction, it was later "punished" – disguised as a layer of plaster in the main cell of the building's hiding place.
